Deck overview

This deck is a Simic midrange powerhouse centered on Sab-Sunen, Luxa Embodied. It uses the commander as both an indestructible combat juggernaut and a recurring card-advantage engine. The early game focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and land ramp to cast Sab-Sunen ahead of curve on Turn 4. On Turn 5, Sab-Sunen's natural counter trigger places its first +1/+1 counter, drawing two cards and fueling continuous development. Mid-game turns leverage counter doublers like Branching Evolution, Court of Garenbrig, and Zimone, Paradox Sculptor to grow creatures into massive threats. The deck closes games via overwhelming trample and unblockable combat damage provided by Herald of Secret Streams, Hadana's Climb, or Wave Goodbye, alongside an infinite extra-turn combo between Court of Garenbrig and Sage of Hours. A dedicated protection suite of flash hexproof enablers safeguards high-value pieces from spot interaction.
