ER Tergrid by Erim3224

Format: Commander

Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a monoblack attrition deck helmed by Tergrid, God of Fright that aims to force opponents into a slow, painful death by discarding and sacrificing their permanents, then stealing them with Tergrid's triggered ability. The deck is packed with symmetrical and one-sided discard and sacrifice effects, fueling payoffs like Waste Not, Megrim, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. The primary game plan is to grind out incremental advantage, eventually overwhelming opponents with a board of stolen creatures and incremental damage. The deck has no fast combos and relies on value accumulation over many turns, making it a classic grindy control strategy in Commander.
