Gollum, the riddle master by user8073173

Format: Commander

Commander: Gollum, Riddle Master

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck wins by grinding the table with repeated death and life-drain triggers. Gollum, Riddle Master is a value engine: you choose odd or even and draw cards, grow Gollum, or drain 2 life each time an opponent casts a spell of that quality. The main plan builds a sacrifice board with Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, Ayara and sac outlets, then loops Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Kokusho with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Mikaeus acts as the hidden commander for undying loops. Backup wins use Cabal Coffers and Nykthos mana to fire Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, or Bolas's Citadel value.
