Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis strategy that unites the 9 Nazgûl with Sauron, the Dark Lord at the helm. It accelerates early using fast mana artifacts and dark rituals to deploy Sauron or fill the graveyard via Entomb and Buried Alive. Once Sauron is active, every combat connection by an Army or Ring-bearer triggers a hand discard to draw four fresh cards, aggressively churning through the library while feeding the graveyard. The primary win condition revolves around mass reanimation spells such as Patriarch's Bidding and Living Death, returning an army of Nazgûl alongside Anger and Filth. The simultaneous entering of multiple Nazgûl triggers the Ring repeatedly, putting enormous numbers of +1/+1 counters on all Wraiths for an immediate unblockable lethal swing. Backup plans leverage Archfiend of Ifnir and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to clear opposing boards and drain life totals.
