Thorin Oakenshield by chickenpie393

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield leads a Boros Dwarf/Equipment deck built to turn the commander into a trampling voltron while a supporting cast of storied Dwarves (Kili, Fili, Dain Ironfoot, Bifur) generates tokens, card draw, and combat bonuses. The primary plan is to attach cheap, synergistic Equipment early, then spike with Blackblade Reforged or double strike from Dain Ironfoot/Boros Charm to put a player away. Secondary paths are wider Dwarf token attacks (Fili, Dwarven Shortsword, The Lonely Mountain) and Balin Loremaster burning the whole table. Thorin is the main target and the cheapest source of the enduring-story condition, but the deck can keep attacking through tokens if he is removed; there is no double-faced or hidden commander.
