Ayara Aristocrats Combo [High-Power] by tomlevic

Format: Commander

Commander: Ayara, First of Locthwain

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power mono-black aristocrats combo list helmed by Ayara, First of Locthwain. Ayara turns every black creature that enters into a drain-and-gain trigger and converts spare bodies into cards, so the deck floods the board with cheap black creatures, sacrifice outlets, and recursion, then converts that engine into a table kill. Primary wins are infinite enter-the-battlefield loops - Gravecrawler or Bloodghast plus an altar or Warren Soultrader and Pitiless Plunderer - that ping the table out through Ayara, a reanimated Hoarding Broodlord plus Saw in Half that tutors the rest of the combo, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel (often copied by Saw in Half) for a devotion knockout. Backup finishes include Bolas's Citadel storming into Aetherflux Reservoir and a large Plague of Vermin. The 99 is packed with one-mana tutors, ritual mana, and a full reanimation suite, so Ayara is the best drain outlet and a value engine but not the only way the deck functions.
