Deck overview

This Boros deck is an exhibition build fully dedicated to Tolkien lore, focusing on the Dwarves of Erebor and the Iron Hills under the leadership of Dáin of the Ancient Halls. The primary game plan develops a wide board of thematic Dwarves on Turns 1 through 4 before deploying Dáin on Turn 5. Thanks to Dáin's haste and vigilance, he immediately applies pressure by dealing burn damage equal to your Dwarf count to every opponent whenever he attacks. On Turn 6, damage amplifiers like Gratuitous Violence, trigger doublers like Bifur, Melodic Rider, or token spells accelerate this burn clock to close out the game by Turn 8. The deck features strong creature synergy and flavor, though its strict thematic boundaries leave it reliant on combat steps and vulnerable to mass creature removal.
