Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and aristocrats midrange strategy commanded by Sorin of House Markov. The primary game plan focuses on gaining incremental life through soul-sister effects like Lifecreed Duo and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim to flip Sorin into Sorin, Ravenous Neonate. Once transformed, Sorin generates Food tokens and uses his -1 loyalty ability as scalable direct damage while the deck builds an engine of aristocrat drain permanents. Cards like Bastion of Remembrance, Cruel Celebrant, and Mirkwood Bats steadily deplete opposing life totals whenever creatures or tokens die. The deck closes games through compounded drain triggers, a massive Exsanguinate, or a three-piece loop featuring Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Reassembling Skeleton. With a solid suite of removal and flexible backup aristocrat engines, the deck maintains steady board control while grinding opponents down over multiple turn cycles.
