Deck overview

This mono-green deck harnesses Omnath, Locus of Mana as both an expansive mana battery and a lethal commander damage threat. Early turns emphasize land ramp and cheap deathtouch snakes such as Ambush Viper and Fang of Shigeki to deter aggressive attacks. Once Omnath is established, the deck banks unspent green mana across phases and turns, rapidly inflating the commander while powering out massive threats like Primordial Hydra and Goldvein Hydra. High-impact enchantments such as Mana Reflection, Unnatural Growth, and Garruk's Uprising convert accumulated mana into overwhelming combat steps. While vulnerable to spot removal that drains Omnath's banked mana, the deck packs dedicated protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping. Card replenishment is sustained through power-based draw spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Momentous Fall, ensuring the deck continues dropping giant threats until all opponents succumb to lethal combat damage.
