Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure engine that turns artifact generation into burn, explosive mana, and repeated combat. The primary plan is to amass Treasures from dragons, Xorn, and attack triggers, then weaponize them with Smaug's attack trigger, damage doublers, and extra-combat spells such as Aggravated Assault. Secondary paths are dragon combat damage and Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact win. The commander supplies a steady Treasure each upkeep and a scalable burn trigger; There and Back Again can create an additional Smaug token, reinforcing that role. The deck is not a true combo deck-it wins by compounding Treasure count into huge combat and burn turns.
