Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Gandalf, Goblins' Bane. The game plan focuses on deploying low-cost noncreature spell pingers, including Gandalf, Coruscation Mage, Firebrand Archer, and Guttersnipe, to damage each opponent whenever a spell is cast. The deck uses cheap cantrips, rummage spells, and burn to cycle through cards while consistently whittling down opposing life totals. Mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Jeska's Will, and Mana Geyser provide the mana velocity needed to cast multiple spells in a single turn. Card advantage engines such as Virtue of Courage and Flameshape ensure that storm turns chain into more spells. Defensive tools like Brash Taunter and Screaming Nemesis combine with sweepers like Blasphemous Act to redirect massive bursts of damage directly to opponents while shutting down life gain. The deck reliably closes games on Turn 6 by overwhelming opponents with noncombat damage.
