Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign to cheat massive odd-mana-value spells directly from the top of the library onto the battlefield. The early game focuses on ramping with artifacts like Arcane Signet and setting up library order using Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Ponder. Once deployed on turn 4, Yennett attacks on turn 5 to cast devastating threats for free, including Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Breach the Multiverse, and Sepulchral Primordial. A robust reanimation sub-theme featuring Victimize, Unburial Rites, and Living Death ensures high-impact threats remain accessible even if milled or discarded. While the deck generates overwhelming board presence and asymmetric stax locks, it relies on combat damage to eliminate opponents across multiple turn cycles and lacks cheap countermagic to defend against fast stack-based combo wins.
