Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, an archetype built around dual-type cards to generate an overwhelming flock of goaded 2/2 Bird tokens for all players. By packing artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, kindred spells, and battles, the deck repeatedly triggers Rendmaw to flood the board with evasive threats. Because these tokens are permanently goaded, opponents are forced into aggressive mutual combat, quickly whittling down each other's life totals while leaving the pilot completely safe from Bird attacks. Meanwhile, the deck generates card advantage from creature deaths and combat connections through pieces like Morbid Opportunist, Species Specialist, and Toski, Bearer of Secrets. The endgame arrives via asymmetric mass-drain and overrun effects such as Massacre Wurm, Wing Storm, Beastmaster Ascension, and Triumph of the Hordes, which cleanly convert the shared token swarm into a decisive victory.
