Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir graveyard midrange strategy commanded by Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld. The game plan focuses on rapid self-mill and looting during the early turns through cards like Mesmeric Orb, Glimpse the Unthinkable, and commander attacks. Once the graveyard reaches fourteen cards, Emet-Selch transforms into Hades on upkeep, turning the entire graveyard into an extended hand. The deck leverages this massive card access to cast large threats like Xande, Dark Mage and Abhorrent Oculus, craft The Grim Captain using changeling synergies, and chain extra turn spells such as Time Warp to eliminate opponents through combat damage. Robust interaction and targeted protection spells ensure the engine survives until it closes the game around Turn 8.
