Deck overview

This is a mono-white Myrel, Shield of Argive Soldier deck. It develops a board of Human and artifact Soldiers, then uses Myrel attacks to create more Soldiers equal to the current Soldier count. Cards such as Captain of the Watch, Field Marshal, Daru Warchief, Thalia's Lieutenant, and Siege Veteran improve the size and combat quality of the army. Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Finale of Glory, and Mobilization provide additional token production when Myrel is unavailable or has not yet attacked. The deck has respectable commander protection through Bastion Protector, Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, and several indestructible effects. Its main limitations are slow card flow, low tutor density, only moderate mana acceleration, and limited interaction. It usually assembles around turn 5, creates its first must-answer board around turn 6, and needs several more attacks to eliminate a full table.
