New Untitled Deck by Halcyon1927

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai Hydra deck uses Zaxara, the Exemplary as a value engine, turning every X-cost spell into a free Hydra token. The primary plan is to ramp into Zaxara, then chain X-cost Hydras while counter multipliers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Corpsejack Menace create enormous tramplers. A secondary, explosive plan combines Freed from the Real with Zaxara for infinite mana, then sinks that mana into X spells or The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. Gargos discounts Hydra spells and fights blockers, and Hydra Omnivore can spread combat damage to all opponents. The commander is central to the fast combo but not strictly required for the fair beatdown plan.
