Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Jund attrition strategy commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, engineered to weaponize -1/-1 counters for extreme card advantage, board control, and table-wide life drain. The deck curves into low-cost mana ramp on Turns 1 and 2, deploying enablers like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs before resolving Auntie Ool on Turn 3 or 4. Once established, every -1/-1 counter placed on your creatures replaces itself with fresh cards, while counters placed on opposing threats bleed their controllers. The midgame achieves decisive suppression through asymmetric stax pieces like Kulrath Knight and repeatable board wipes from Carnifex Demon and Archfiend of Ifnir. The endgame closes out around Turn 7 via aristocrat drain engines like Obelisk Spider and The Meathook Massacre, overwhelming token swarms, or the infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs.
