Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain tribal and discard-midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck curves low-cost Villains into Doctor Doom on Turn 4, triggering connive at the start of combat to grow attackers and sculpt the hand. Discarding lands drains each opponent for 2 life, while nonland discards buff your attackers with +1/+1 counters and fuel graveyard-focused mechanics like mayhem. The strategy establishes a dominant board on Turn 6 through evasive token armies, direct damage triggers, and one-sided creature suppression via Archfiend of Ifnir. The game concludes around Turn 8 through wide combat swings with menace and flying alongside incremental burn. While the deck boasts high tribal synergy and solid board removal, it lacks stack countermagic and dedicated protection spells, making it reliant on redundant threats and graveyard recursion to push through opposing disruption.
