Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck is helmed by Zevlor, Elturel Exile, whose activated ability copies the next single-target instant or sorcery to each other opponent. The entire deck is built to exploit that copy engine: untap effects (Chakram Retriever, Ioreth of the Healing House, North Pole Patrol, Vizier of Tumbling Sands, Training Grounds, Illusionist's Bracers) fire Zevlor multiple times per turn, while magecraft payoffs (Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, Guttersnipe, Aria of Flame, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Young Pyromancer) convert every cast and copy into cards, treasures, damage, and tokens. A dense cost-reducer suite (Goblin Electromancer, Archmage of Runes, Haughty Djinn, Stormcatch Mentor, Wizards of Thay) keeps the chain running. Primary wins are copied burn and discard (Rakdos's Return, Blightning, Rush of Dread) plus magecraft drain, with theft spells (Bribery, Acquire, Talent of the Telepath) as a value subtheme and Kess, Dissident Mage / Maestros Ascendancy providing recursion.
