Deck overview

Helmed by Rex, Cyber-Hound, this Azorius deck builds around an energy-and-counters subtheme to fuel Rex's ability to steal activated abilities from creature cards in graveyards. The primary plan is to deal combat damage with Rex to generate energy, then exile key creature cards and weaponize their abilities-often from opponents' graveyards-to generate value, card advantage, and removal. The deck also leans on +1/+1 counter synergies (Animation Module, Fabrication Module, and proliferate effects) to grow its board, and includes a modest artifact recursion package. Winning typically requires incremental combat damage, using evasive threats like Pride of the Road or big artifact creatures like Behemoth of Vault 0. While the energy engine provides a unique toolbox, the deck lacks a compact combo finish or a fast clock, settling into a grindy midrange role.
