Deck overview

This deck pairs an Assassin tribal core with Nissa, Leyline Tamer as a high-end value engine. The deck operates on a dense 47-land mana base consisting predominantly of basic lands, guaranteeing consistent land drops every turn cycle without fast mana acceleration. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost Assassins like Basim Ibn Ishaq and Adéwalé, Breaker of Chains to trigger freerunning discounts and chip at opponents' life totals. On Turn 7, the deck hardcasts Nissa, unlocking a powerful landfall engine on Turn 8 that draws cards and cheats creatures directly from the library onto the battlefield. Without combo finishes, the deck closes games through scaling combat pressure, burn from Surtr, Fiery Jötun and Eivor, Battle-Ready, and extra combats via Overpowering Attack. While vulnerable to board wipes and lacking stack interaction, the deck maintains steady recovery through raw land density.
