Denzilore Fatehold (Azorius Scry & Surveil) by Illusion

Format: Commander

Commander: Denzilore Fatehold

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 40

Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages Denzilore Fatehold to turn every scry and surveil action into team-wide +1/+1 counters. The deck begins by developing low-cost utility creatures and cheap artifacts that manipulate the top of the library. Once Denzilore enters on Turn 4, every cantrip, creature entry, and attack trigger distributes counters across the entire board. Evasion enablers like Abzan Falconer, Rikku, Resourceful Guardian, and Thassa, God of the Sea ensure the growing army bypasses blockers. The deck defends its strategy using efficient counterspells and protective pieces such as Flawless Maneuver and Bulwark Ox, while Damning Verdict provides a one-sided board wipe that spares its counter-laden creatures. While it lacks instant-win combos, its compounding combat math, deep card filtering, and reactive interaction create an inevitable clock that closes games by Turn 7.
