This Mardu deck utilizes Celes, Rune Knight as both a hand-sculpting engine and a combo piece in the command zone. When Celes enters, she filters your hand to fill the graveyard with high-impact reanimation targets or combo pieces. Her static ability places a +1/+1 counter on all your creatures whenever a creature enters from the graveyard. This specifically cancels out the -1/-1 counters granted by the Persist mechanic on cards like Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, and Murderous Redcap. Combined with a free sacrifice outlet such as Goblin Bombardment, Blasting Station, or Ashnod's Altar, the deck generates infinite sacrifices and enters-the-battlefield triggers, closing out the game with direct damage. If the primary combo is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly into a traditional reanimator plan, cheating out massive threats like Archon of Cruelty and Aurelia, the Warleader to control the board and drain opponent life totals.
