Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Voltron and Aristocrats hybrid built around Loot, the Anomaly. Loot features a unique combat damage replacement ability: whenever his power is negative, he assigns combat damage as though it were positive. By utilizing cards that reduce power such as Belbe's Armor, Agatha's Soul Cauldron exiling Hyalopterous Lemure or Viscid Lemures, and his own threshold ability, Loot can achieve massive negative power to eliminate opponents via commander damage. Because negative power interacts favorably with evasion mechanics like skulk from Skeleton Key and unblockable lands like Access Tunnel and Shizo, Death's Storehouse, Loot easily bypasses defenses. The deck is supported by an extensive Zombie sacrifice shell featuring Gravecrawler, Skullclamp, Grave Pact, and Ayara, First of Locthwain, which generates card draw, maintains creature control, and provides an alternate Aristocrats win condition.
