Deck overview

This Golgari deck is an optimized Elf tribal aggro strategy led by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The primary game plan develops an early board of low-cost mana dorks and utility Elves to cast Lathril on Turn 3. Connecting in combat with Lathril on Turn 4 generates an escalating swarm of 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens, which supercharges mana engines such as Priest of Titania, Circle of Dreams Druid, and Three Tree City. On Turn 5, the deck converts this mana and creature volume into a game-ending combat assault using mass overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth, Ezuri, Renegade Leader, or Finale of Devastation for X >= 10. Robust draw engines like Skullclamp and Beast Whisperer ensure continuous replenishment, while versatile protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Selfless Safewright safeguard the board against sweepers.
