Deck overview

This deck is a classic Rakdos Aristocrats strategy built around Mogis, God of Slaughter. Rather than relying on fragile commander-centric lines, the list leverages deep functional redundancy across sacrifice outlets, recursive creatures, and death-trigger drain payoffs. Mogis provides steady passive attrition by forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures or lose life on their upkeeps. Meanwhile, cards like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance convert recurring bodies like Gravecrawler and Reassembling Skeleton into lethal group life drain. The deck controls opposing boards through efficient creature removal, board wipes such as Toxic Deluge and Blasphemous Act, and asymmetric sacrifice edicts from Dictate of Erebos. Without dedicated fast mana or infinite combos, it steadily drains life totals, reaching a must-answer state on Turn 6 and closing games around Turn 8.
