Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Grixis theft and exile midrange strategy commanded by The Madcap Jester. Its main objective is to turn opposing libraries into an expansive second hand while converting exile actions into mana, tokens, and direct damage. The deck develops smoothly on curve with baseline mana rocks before deploying its commander on Turn 4. Once The Madcap Jester attacks on Turn 5, it exiles cards from all opponents, generating massive recurring card flow. In the mid-game, explosive enablers like Tasha's Hideous Laughter and Outrageous Robbery supercharge payoffs like Umbris, Fear Manifest, Passionate Archaeologist, and Keeper of Secrets, establishing a must-answer clock by Turn 6. While lacking deterministic infinite combos, the deck controls the table through premium free interaction and library denial, methodically dismantling opponents' game plans with their own resources to close the game by Turn 8.
