Deck overview

Umbris, Fear Manifest is an exile-and-mill tempo deck built around making Umbris enormous and unblockable. The commander's ETB trigger, plus every additional Nightmare or Horror, exiles chunks of an opponent's library and grows the commander's power. Bruvac the Grandiloquent plus kicked Maddening Cacophony offers a compact two-card mill kill, while Jace, Memory Adept and The Mindskinner provide alternative finishers. A reanimation/steal package with Captain N'ghathrod and Extract from Darkness converts milled cards into board presence. The main tension is that graveyard mill supports the steal package while exile directly feeds Umbris, so sequencing the right effects at the right time matters.
