Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is an aggressive typal build helmed by Captain America, Team Leader. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-to-mid-cost Hero creatures that instantly gain vigilance, haste, and +1/+1 counters upon entering the battlefield under Captain America's leadership. This allows the deck to swing immediately without leaving its life total unguarded. As the curve develops, synergistic payoffs like War Machine, Avenging Arsenal grant double strike to modified creatures, while Iron Man, Armored Avenger provides aerial evasion. Steady card advantage from Jarvis, Earth's Mightiest Butler and Kindred Discovery keeps the hand refueled against targeted removal. While the strategy lacks infinite combos and stax elements, it compensates with explosive combat acceleration, sturdy protection tools like Bastion Protector and Plaza of Heroes, and asymmetric board control via Raise the Palisade to close out games through overwhelming board pressure.
