Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm and affinity spellslinger engine commanded by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost mana dorks and token generators across the early turns to build a wide board of creatures. By Turn 4, creature affinity reduces Witherbloom, the Balancer's casting cost to just two colored mana. Once on the battlefield, the commander grants affinity for creatures to all instant and sorcery spells, allowing high-mana bombs like Preposterous Proportions, Rise of the Dark Realms, Breach the Multiverse, and Genesis Wave to be cast for two or three colored mana. The deck can also tutor for a compact two-card infinite combo using Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak to generate an infinite army of green Squirrels. The deck finishes games on Turn 6 through overwhelming combat damage across all opponents. While resilient to targeted removal and capable of rapid recovery, the deck remains vulnerable to mass sweepers due to limited defensive counterplay.
