Power Matters aristocrats (duplicated from schwermetal) by yolex

Format: Commander

Commander: Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari deck warps sacrifice and +1/+1 counters together. Mazirek turns every sacrificed permanent-treasures, fetch lands, Eldrazi Spawn, or Reassembling Skeleton-into pumped creatures. The primary plan is to reach five mana, land Mazirek, and then assemble an infinite sacrifice loop with Basking Broodscale or Ashnod's Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer and a recursive skeleton, finishing with Blood Artist/Zulaport triggers or a lethal flying Mazirek. Secondary plans use Corpsejack Menace/Hardened Scales to grow token swarms and Meren/Whisper to rebuild after wipes. Dedicated tutors and draw engines make the combo lines reachable, while the deck's main risk is being out-tempoed by stack-based decks.
