Olag and Miau, New Friends by Jessestemple

Format: Commander

Commander: Olag and Miau, New Friends

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a midrange Abzan tribal build helmed by Olag and Miau, New Friends, blending Zombie and Cat synergies with a +1/+1 counter subtheme. The primary game plan is to generate a wide board of tokens through cards like Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Leonin Warleader, and Cryptbreaker, then leverage the commander's end-step drain ability along with Wayward Servant, Corpse Knight, Throne of the God-Pharaoh, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to grind down opponents. The deck lacks fast combos, instead winning through incremental life loss and combat damage, supported by recursion from Cauldron of Essence, Eerie Ultimatum, and Eternal Witness. The commander is a key engine for distributing counters and providing the final drain, but the deck can still function without it thanks to the tribal synergy pieces.
