Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth is a Golgari sacrifice/reanimator value engine. The primary plan is to ramp into Meren, accumulate experience counters by sacrificing utility creatures, and recur the best enter-the-battlefield or death triggers every end step. The fastest and most reliable win is a Protean Hulk combo: sacrifice Hulk, search up Viscera Seer, Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Lesser Masticore, and Disciple of the Vault, then loop Masticore's persist for infinite life drain. If the combo is stopped, Syr Konrad, Desecrated Tomb tokens, and repeated removal grind opponents out. There is no hidden commander; Meren is the central engine, while Syr Konrad acts as a secondary payoff.
