Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred and discard-synergy strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around deploying evasive Villain creatures, leveraging Doctor Doom's combat-step connive ability to sculpt hands and grow attackers, and converting discarded cards into direct life loss. Key engines such as Archfiend of Ifnir and M.O.D.O.K., Evil Intellect turn routine card filtering into one-sided board control by shrinking and sacrificing opposing creatures. Meanwhile, anthem and haste enablers like The Squadron Sinister and Living Laser scale combat pressure alongside passive burn from Cool but Rude and Faith of the Devoted. The deck features robust mid-game card flow and resilient recursion options like mayhem and Marchesa, the Black Rose, though its reliance on combat steps and light stack interaction leaves it susceptible to well-timed board wipes and fast noncreature combo strategies.
