Deck overview

This Orzhov Aura deck, helmed by Killian, Decisive Mentor, is a goad-control strategy that leverages a dense Aura suite to force opponents' creatures to attack each turn while generating card advantage. The primary game plan is to cast cheap Auras (especially the "Impetus" cycle) on opponents' creatures, tapping and goading them, which triggers Killian's draw ability when those creatures attack. The deck also uses Auras to boost its own creatures for a combat-oriented finish, with finishers like Eldrazi Conscription and Angelic Destiny. A solid recursion package (Mantle of the Ancients, Replenish) and board-control elements (Ghostly Prison, Eriette of the Charmed Apple) protect the player and enable a slow, grindy victory.
