Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an artifact-focused Voltron and combat midrange build commanded by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. The early game focuses on deploying Tony Stark on Turn 2, utilizing his activated ability to dig for key artifacts while developing mana rocks. Upon reaching six mana around Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man, a 5/5 flying, haste threat that immediately cheats high-impact Equipment directly onto the battlefield attached to him during combat. Cheating heavy armors like Hulkbuster Armor or the comprehensive suite of 'Sword of X and Y' equipment transforms Iron Man into an evasive, heavily protected clock that threatens lethal commander damage in one to two hits per player. While the deck possesses immense protective redundancy through hexproof, shroud, and protection equipment, its 28-land count creates mana friction, and it lacks instant-speed creature removal, relying on sequential combat steps across three opponent rotations to close the game on Turn 8.
