Covert Commander: The Locust God by user1468176

Format: Commander

Commander: Surrak Dragonclaw

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Surrak Dragonclaw runs a Temur value-token plan. The hidden commander is The Locust God: every draw spell becomes hasty Insect tokens, and those tokens close through Shared Animosity, Coat of Arms, or Purphoros triggers. Surrak is a support commander whose flash, uncounterable creature spells, and trample keep the token beatdown safe rather than serving as the engine. Secondary paths are a Craterhoof/token overrun, Shaman of Forgotten Ways life reset, and a Lab Maniac deck-draw finish. A compact Skullclamp + Ashnod's Altar + Locust God loop can create infinite mana and lethal Purphoros damage once assembled.
