Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul midrange stompy deck built around Bello, Bard of the Brambles. The core strategy leverages Bello's static ability to animate non-Equipment artifacts and non-Aura enchantments with mana value 4 or greater into 4/4 Elemental creatures during your turn. These animated permanents enter combat with haste and indestructible while drawing cards whenever they connect with an opponent. Dense low-cost ramp accelerates Bello onto the board on Turn 3, enabling immediate attacks with high-impact 4-drops on Turn 4. The deck escalates its damage using powerful force multipliers like Gratuitous Violence, City on Fire, Berserkers' Onslaught, and Unnatural Growth, quickly turning mid-sized permanents into lethal combat threats. Because the animated pieces revert to non-creature permanents during opponents' turns, they naturally dodge sorcery-speed creature board wipes. A robust package of 1-mana protection spells keeps Bello alive to maintain consistent pressure and card flow.
