Deck overview

This deck is a high-impact Gruul combat deck built around Anzrag, the Quake-Mole. Its main strategy is to make Anzrag indestructible or immune to damage, then force opposing creatures to block it using cards like Lure, Nemesis Mask, or Anzrag's activated ability. When Anzrag is blocked, it untaps all of your creatures and grants an extra combat phase. This loop eats opposing blockers, deals substantial commander damage, and allows your other attackers to swing repeatedly at defenseless opponents. The deck supplements this combat engine with high-end ramp, overrun effects like Pathbreaker Ibex and Xenagos, God of Revels, and a two-card infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault and Savage Ventmaw. While the deck excels at overwhelming creature-based strategies, it runs minimal stack interaction and relies on natural card flow to assemble its required protection pieces.
