Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer is a Golgari creature-swarm deck that exploits a wide board to make its commander and instant/sorcery spells almost free via affinity. It plays many low-cost creatures, gains life through triggers and Food tokens, then wins with trampling combat pumps or a Saproling loop. Witherbloom's flying deathtouch makes her a credible closer once the board is wide. Secondary lines include Sanguine Bond plus Shard of the Nightbringer drain and a robust recursion package. The deck does not require its commander to function, but her affinity is the main acceleration engine that turns a large creature count into discounted spells and a fast finish.
