Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and Wizard-tribal strategy commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap Wizards and casting Kuja to generate Wizard tokens that ping each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast. Once four Wizards are in play, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. On the following turn, the pilot casts multiple low-cost noncreature spells, cantrips, and burn spells to trigger massive, doubled table-wide damage. Secondary powerhouses like Guttersnipe, Black Waltz No. 3, and Tomik, Izzet Sparkmage provide redundant burn, while Zada, Hedron Grinder turns single-target cantrips into massive card-draw engines. The deck features strong redundancy in its core roles and efficient creature removal, but it is vulnerable to board sweepers and lacks dedicated stack protection.
