HASTE IS ACTUALLY USEFUL! by emaloo

Format: Commander

Commander: Ognis, the Dragon's Lash

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ognis, the Dragon's Lash leads an aggressive Jund 'haste and treasure' deck. The primary plan is to deploy a swarm of cheap hasted creatures, attack every turn, and use Ognis's triggered Treasures as mana acceleration to cast large hasted payoff creatures. Secondary paths include temporary theft of blockers, artifact-token generation through Stimulus Package and Sokenzan Smelter, and a draw-looting package to keep pressure. The commander is the engine that converts combat into mana; without it, the deck is a lower-power beatdown deck. There is no hidden commander, though Vazi and Garna provide complementary roles. The deck is designed to explode with combat and finish with Hellkite Igniter or Rhino rather than combo.
