Marneus Calgar helms an Esper token deck with a light 40K skin. The primary plan is to make tokens cheaply (Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, Court of Grace) and use Marneus's Master Tactician trigger to draw into more token payoffs and anthems. Secondary paths are aristocrat drain via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance, plus a four-card mana/token loop with Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, Nadir Kraken, and Marneus. The commander is the draw engine and combo anchor; there is no hidden commander. With no premium tutors, games are about building a token economy, then converting it into wide combat or a drain kill.
