Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It focuses on assembling an army of comic book villains that exploit the connive mechanic to loot through the library, grow physical board presence with +1/+1 counters, and whittle down opposing life totals whenever land cards are discarded. Early turns establish mana rocks and low-cost utility villains such as Prowler, Clawed Thief and Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord. By Turn 4, Doctor Doom enters the battlefield to grant evasion and continuous card filtering every combat step. The mid-game capitalizes on high-impact payoffs like Ultron, Unlimited, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and The Squadron Sinister, providing mass evasion, haste, and stat buffs. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide, evasive combat assaults bolstered by recursion spells like Behold the Sinister Six! and mayhem casts from the graveyard.
