Deck overview

This Simic tempo deck uses Edric, Spymaster of Trest to turn cheap, evasive one-drop creatures into a relentless card-drawing engine. By casting flying and unblockable creatures on the earliest turns, the deck begins drawing multiple cards per combat step as soon as Edric enters on Turn 3. This surge of card advantage fuels a dense suite of one-mana and alternate-cost counterspells to protect the board from sweepers and removal. The deck converts its card surplus into a decisive victory by chaining extra turn spells like Notorious Throng and Walk the Aeons, or by boosting its wide board with Beastmaster Ascension and Biomass Mutation. With a very low mana curve and high functional redundancy, the list executes a consistent, aggressive clock.
