Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive mono-black combo deck led by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik allows you to pay 2 life instead of {B} for any black mana symbol in a cost, effectively supercharging the entire deck's mana efficiency. The primary strategy races out K'rrik on Turn 1 or 2 using dense fast mana and rituals, then casts Buried Alive or Entomb to place Necrotic Ooze, Asmodeus the Archfiend, and Skirge Familiar into the graveyard. A cheap reanimation spell brings back Necrotic Ooze, granting it the ability to draw cards with Asmodeus and discard them for black mana with Skirge Familiar. From there, you draw your entire deck, generate arbitrary mana, and eliminate the table with Aetherflux Reservoir. Redundant lines through Vilis, Broker of Blood, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, and Peer into the Abyss ensure high consistency even when the primary plan faces resistance.
