Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal midrange strategy built around Gisa and Geralf. The game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with self-mill, recurring high-synergy Zombies once per turn, and establishing a wide army of buffed undead creatures. Early turns establish mana through artifacts like Dimir Signet and deploy utility creatures like Undead Augur and Mire Triton. By turn 4 or 5, the commander enters to unlock continuous graveyard recursion. In the mid-to-late game, the deck escalates into a lethal board presence using mass reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse, token swarms from Army of the Damned, and lord buffs from Diregraf Captain and Lord of the Accursed. Direct life-drain effects from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead punish opposing sweepers and steadily drain life totals, enabling the horde to finish off the table through evasive combat.
