Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger combo engine commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. It leverages the prepare mechanic to cast powerful spell copies that trigger Codie's spell-duplication ability. Early turns focus on ramping and fixing all five colors while deploying cost-reducing creatures and prepare permanents. Once Codie and key magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus are established on Turn 4, the deck initiates an explosive storm turn on Turn 5. Copying prepared rituals such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song produces massive mana and cards, fueling a loop that drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn through Witherbloom Apprentice or a massive Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. A robust suite of low-cost removal and countermagic defends the combo turn.
