Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu legendary-matters midrange list helmed by Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge. The game plan centers on curving out with legendary creatures, artifacts, and lands to draw cards and steadily expand board presence. Shanid grants evasive menace to all legendary creatures, making wide combat boards difficult to block cleanly. Anthems such as Arvad the Cursed, Day of Destiny, and Heroes' Podium scale threat density, while keyword unifiers like Odric, Lunarch Marshal distribute evasion, vigilance, and lifelink across the army. The deck plays flexible removal to answer opposing permanents and features high-impact asymmetric tools like Urza's Ruinous Blast and Primevals' Glorious Rebirth. While vulnerable to mass exile and repeated board sweepers due to limited counter-magic and reactive protection, the deck boasts resilient backup value engines through Dihada, Binder of Wills and graveyard recursion to close out games via overwhelming combat pressure.
