Deck overview

This Bant deck uses Lagrella, the Magpie to pilot an aggressive enter-the-battlefield blink and combo-control strategy. In the early game, cheap mana creatures like Birds of Paradise and multi-color powerhouses like Bloom Tender accelerate mana into high-impact value engines. Cards such as Soulherder, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, and Displacer Kitten repeatedly trigger enter-the-battlefield draw effects from Cloudblazer, Mulldrifter, and Aether Channeler, filling the hand while answering threats on the board. The deck's primary victory condition revolves around generating infinite mana using Peregrine Drake paired with Deadeye Navigator, Emiel the Blessed, or Ghostly Flicker with Eternal Witness. Once unbounded mana is online, the deck loops creatures to draw the entire library, cast silence effects like Grand Abolisher, bounce all opposing nonlands with Aether Channeler, and permanently strip all opposing lands using Acidic Slime. Supported by free countermagic like Force of Will and Pact of Negation, this creates an immediate, unbreakable lockout.
